F17 error on Kenmore Stove model 970-687421 Our oven works, but cook top doesn't HELP

Hello Janiel;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

I pulled up the tech manual for the unit, and there is not an f17 error code applicable for this model. the two closest errors I see are either f11 (shorted keypad or selector switch) or f12 (eoc internal software error or failure).
we recommend verifying the error code to see which it could be and repost your inquiry if needed so we can look into possible solutions.

Also, your model number does not register and is incorrect.

Bosch wae24363 washing machine, coming up with f17 error code please help

I had this same message last week. It is to do with the water intake (i.e. the water coming in to the back of the machine). If you have checked that the hose isn't trapped or kinked, unscrewed it and checked the filters at each end for blockages (rinse out if necessary), and you still get the F17 message, it may be because your water pressure is too low, in which case you need to contact your landlord (if you rent) or thames water if the problem is external (especially if there are any works going on near your house). Hope this helps!
