Display reads call pilot busy and I can not check messages

This means that all extensions to the call pilot are in use or the call Pilot is locked up. Try again later or power cycle the Call Pilot if it is an external unit.

Why is the light flashing on the right side

If the light flashing is the "light bulb like button" or the "Ready/Light" button, it means that either the printer is:

• The printer is busy receiving and processing data or printing.
• The printer is printing a directory, font list, menu settings pages, or Print Quality Test Pages.

If it's Busy:
• Wait for the message to clear.
• Press and release Cancel to cancel the print job.
• Press and hold Cancel to reset the printer.

If it's printing a directory, a font list, menu settings pages, or Print Quality Test Pages:
• Wait for the pages to print. The Busy message is displayed as the pages print. The Ready light is on when the
printing stops.
• Press and release Cancel to cancel printing.
• Press and hold Cancel to reset the printer.

Client reports display shows BUSY, but never prints. I ran the Demo Page OK. Also, 5-page print tests on USB and parallel without issue. There's no add on memory. Could the Controller Board being failing...

the logic board could cause this if the nvram is messed up. how ever i have found this to be caused by the engine board about 98% of the time. change the engiine board and your problem will go away

Fax display screen always reads, "Auto receive". When attempting to fax, the busy light flashes. Busy light stops flashing for 30 seconds, then starts flashing again.
Above is the default settings for the fax.

NGB0 indicates signal error or line condition error.
U need to check the phone line. U can hook any single line phone to the phone line, check for tones without background noise.

IntelliFAX 4750E - Printer Busy

The printers memory may be full depending on the type of documents they are printing. The first and most simple step is to unplug the power cord from the back of the unit for 30 seconds, put your finger on the stop key while plugging the unit back up and continue holding the stop key until the time and date are back on the display of the Brother unit.

If that does not work unplug the USB cable from the PC. Unplug the power cord from the unit again. Put your finger on the menu key first and then plug the unit back up. You want to hold the menu key unit the until the LCD says maintanence and all the lights are flashing. Let the menu key go and press the number 82 and will give you an error code. If the error code is 00 then there are no errors. If there is an error code record it and contact brother or check a service manual if you have one. Most laser products all have the same error codes with Brother.

To reset the unit press stop and then 91, this will reset the unit and all faxes or print jobs will be lost. This should clear the issue.
