Question about Vapor 3000 Steam Vacuum
A 2" sparging steam line is connected to a set of 24" Downcomer lines just before they enter into the Evaporator of a HRSG unit. Could you explain what the purpose of this line is in the operation of one of these units?
The reason for this is to keep the HRSG warm to reduce fuel costs. Due to the price of Nat Gas, it is adventageous to supply sparging steam to keep the HRSG warm so that when the Comb Turbine is called upon to start the HRSG metal temperature will be greater than ambient temperature.
