You have to use another computer to copy the download to a thumb drive. Once you have the RT2870.arm on your thumb drive, put the thumb drive in your Sylvania SYNET7526 USB port. Access your thumb drive through My Computer. You will see it as USB drive. Click on that drive and it will open up showing you your files. Right click on RT2870.arm, and copy. X out of that drive and get back to your desktop. Click on a blank spot. Click on paste. The RT2870.arm appears on your desktop. Click on that RT2870 and follow the directions. Be aware, That is the only way I could get a good copy of that update. I tried to download it using the Sylvania SNET5726, but I got a "That is not a valid CE file", so I used another computer and it worked every time. I suppose the Sylvania SNET7526 misses some of the data.
The WiFi software that is embeded into the OS does not work very well. Fortunately digitalgadget.com has a download that somewhat fixes this problem fairly well. The new download is not totally goof proof, but you can work with it.
Go to: http://www.digitalgadgets.com/netbooks/update.html and download the indicated update. You can copy it to a thumb drive and connect the thumb drive to your Sylvania , find it under My Computer and then copy it to your
desktop and run it from there.
