I have been trying to download Yahoo instant messenger and each time it gets close (which is 60 min. of downloading, since I have dial-up) it stops and a new window appears. What can I do to get this----are there things I need to remove during the download? I have tried turning off the protected mode and setting the security to low but this does not help. I am running Vista and since this is a new computer it is all new to me. Please help me!

Oh, its simple. In a nutshell you need to download and install yahoo messenger. Once you've done that, you need to include the person you want to send a instant message to as one of your contacts or friends. You do that by getting their email address and putting it in your contact, buddy or friend list. Once you have it there you will click on it and send them a instant message. Now I think the first time you send them one they will have to approve you as someone they want to receive messages from by accepting or rejecting your IM. Oh, and they on the other end would need your email address included in their contact, friend or buddy list.
reinstalling your instant messenger would help solve your problem.
