Some TVs have headphone output. It is 6.3mm jack or 3.5mm jack. Often located on the back of the TV if it is a LED ord LCD TV.
You probably need an audio cable that has jack in one end and two RCA konnectors in the other.
If it isn't sound you're looking for, but picture, and your TV only have SCART or component image input, you need equipment with SCART output or component output. Some SCART plugs do have separated audio and component outputs.
I would recommence the BOSE Cinemate II. It is 599.90 has an optical in or an analog in, You would want to use HDMI from XBOX to tv, and from bluray player to tv using HDMI, Then optical cord running from TV to Cinemate.
Well if you are using both SCART connectors, a test you can perform, is to connect the A/V output of the blue ray/dvd player (the audio Red/White - only) to your Home Theater System and see if you can get the picture on the TV and audio through the Home Theater System. If this works, then an alternative is to purchase a simple A/V switch, that you can switch the audio to the Home Theater System when viewing a DVD and then switch back to the TV audio source. Please follow the below link to get a audio switch -
it will work with your tv providing your tv has the correct output and you have the right cables. the programme must also be broadcast in surround, most programmes are only stereo.
if you are running sky or sky hd this will be different so repost.
You need two more speakers to get surround sound,ie> two front one center and two for surround, then you need a home cinema amp to run the speakers and decode the sound from your tv,sky, dvd etc,and the sub gives you your bass.
Ok, the Audio can only be transfered to the HT if it is connected via something other than the HDMI, (the HDMI is just 1 way accept for the Anynet function (which is great with the 6 series. I have the LE52-A656))
The audio can be transfered via component cables but you will get the best out of your system using an optical cable. The main reason for optical is it ability to transfer 5.1. Only problem is the Samsung does not output 5.1!! bugger!! one you have connected it via the optical too. just set the HT to D-IN and you should be goo to go! :) There maybe something i have missed but Im at work at the mo but let me know how you get on :)
