Color convergence shake's but does not aline. What convergence chip would that be! Thank you.

Well there is no yellow, there is only red, blue and green, Blue is the set line the other 2 need to be aligned to. If blue is bent or out of alignment then there is a problem with some internal chips that would require a good deal of soldering skill

Have you tried to alined TV with the Convergence Pattern on? OR
Do you Know how to get convergence Pattern?
Plus Whatever you do DO NOT CLEAR the DC ram board, it takes more then 6hrs to realined once that has been done.

The convergence chip that was supposed to control the blue CRT has failed so the convergence board must be refurbished. Here is the repair kit

Tv have a problems known as a convergence problems,it dead.The tv have colors R,G,B mis alignment,have colors shadows or 3D pictures.The tv convergence board the 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are dead.These parts on the tv convergence board,must be replaced on the tv convergence board to solved the tv picture convergence problems.

Projection TV sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the video to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the TV menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit from the link below.

Common Symptoms include....

• Screen looks 3D
• Colors don't line up
• One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
• Screen is bowed or warped.
• TV shuts off after powering on - TV may also make a chirping noise.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the settings menu then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move RED and BLUE in all directions - up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions or cant move them far enough your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Note: If you TV has as flash focus or magic focus button only try pressing the button. If it fails to fix the convergence your need to fix it. See below for a solution

CONVERGENCE SOLUTION

You will need to replace the convergence chips and possibly some convergence resistors and pico fuses.
This is a a fairly easy DIY job if you know what you are doing. If you have never done this before we would advise calling a shop or if you want to do it yourself get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com

Check your owner's manual and see if there are instructions for setting the convergence. This lines up the different color guns so that you don't need your 3D glasses. If setting the convergence doesn't work, you may need new IC chips. Good luck!

Resistors " RK42 3.3ohms
RK46 1.8ohms RK50 2.7ohms RK54 1.5ohms RK58 3.9ohms RK62 2.2ohms After you replace all of them then enter convergence by pulling OFF bottom front panel there on front of convergence board is a small blue button press it and a convergence pattern will come up now aline each color red then blue.

It sounds like a convergence problem; either bad solder connections at one of the convergence Ic chips or a bad Ic. if this was helpful give me a vote----if one of the chips is now bad it will have to be replaced(usual thing is to replace all the convergence ic chips---most use two and a few 3.
