    For you to find out
if the fan is causing the noise
    ,

    1. Just open the freezer door and push in
      any fan/light switches.

    2. If the noise is louder when the door is open,
the evaporator fan motor is the cause.

    3. You can't lubricate or repair
this motor. You must replace it.
Hope this initial info/idea helps you..

Kindly rate my solutions if this one solves/helps you correct the problem..

    Thank you

My guess is that it is the fan motor

Sounds like it is bad.....no pun intended! ;)

could you please let me know if it is difficult to replace and where to get the needed parts

Power off first!...fairly easy to remove...the fan motor is behind the back wall in the freezer.

Hotpoint quadrio fridgefreezer 2 years old ,not cooling and not freezing, motor was running but has now also stopped, someone surgested moduel was broke any surgestions

These types of refrigerators usually have cooling issues related to defective defrost heaters and failed evaporator fans. I don't believe the compressor has failed. The compressor has a run capacitor and a separate klixon, contact, and fuse attached to the compressor shell that has a tendency of failing. I would check that. It usually makes a clicking sound, but the compressor will not start.

No power to freezer fan on hotpoint ffa91

On some of theses units the fans are connected through the defrost bi metal. When the bi metal gets cold the fan comes on. Check and replace bi metal. Should solve your issue.

Hiya,i have a hotpoint fridge freezer ffa91 and the fridge is no longer getting cold. The compressor seems is hot but cant hear the normal noises coming from the fridge. The digital display shows an arrow...

1. is light on in side when you open the door. If not check breakers or fuses.
2. Can you hear the compressor running. If not do you hear any clicking sounds.
3. If you hear clicking sounds, try putting a fan on compressor and unplug refrigerator.
4. Wait one hour.
5. plug back in. If compressor starts let it run and see if it cools, if it doesnt, call service man.
6. If it goes back to clicking, call a service man.
try this

Your freezer fan has stopped working . Usually , this is a main control board gone bad . This board controls the fan in the freezer and is located behind the refrig , behind an 8 X 10 " panel . Pt.# WR55X10942 .

The fridgefreezer has power but no cooling or freezing

Most likely there is low voltage to the unit or the compressor is bad. Is the condenser coil very dirty and if this unit has a condenser fan does it run?

Loud fan noise

The fan noise has two reasons: one is that ice forms around them causing strain on the disk brush in the middle, which wares down the brush causing the fan to go out of balance, this causing the loud whinning and sometimes high pitched squilling. This happens when the unit is six months to a year old. The first thing that is suggested by the manufacturer is to let the unit be unplugged for twenty-four hours, allowing the ice to melt from around the fans. It has been my experience that this is only a short term fix. You can repeat this every other month until the revolutions per minute of the fans is so reduced that they no longer supply enough air ciculation to cool the refrigerator or the freezer. The solution to this problem is to replace these fans about once a year. Unless the noise does not bother you.

Iced up Samsung RS21 JGNS Help!!

Defrost the unit and after defrosting, with the unit unplug rotate the fan blade manually using your finger. The fan should rotate freely, the blade should not touch the fan frame. Slow rotation of fan motor can cause icing. Worn out bearing, misalign fan blade, partially burn fan motor can slow the rotation of blower motor. But if the blower operate normally, then the unit may be under charge of refrigerant. Qualified technician is needed with this problem.
