Wanted to know what a pin less motherboard is

Actually there are Pin less processors .which fit in the motherboards .
Pin less processors don't have pins . we can fit in motherboard easily.
But, the processors which have pins . takes a bit concentration .because the pins can bend.

All Amd Processors are with pin . and all new Intel Processors are Pin less

Problem and processors please answer

Kinda of a slow processor... it runs at 1.67mhz. Not worth the buy unless it is almost free. Most Intel P4 2.8 and 3.0 run faster and you can get a modern motherboard on NewEgg.com

I need to know the model of socket

733MHz right off the bat, sounds like an Intel Pentium III processor. This processor uses the Slot 1 processor socket, (Older type), or the Socket 370.

Upgrading Processor

You can not put a dual core processor in there because the board will not support it. However, you are able to place any socket 478 pentium 4 processor in there. Let me know if this helps.

No beeps noboot only fans spinning

Skotock, My guess is that you damaged your processor or some thermal grease (paste-like material that physically bonds your heatsink to your processor) is shorting something. Unplug your power cord, remove the heatsink and processor. Check the processor for surface cracks and bent pins. Make sure NONE of the thermal grease has oozed over the edge of the processor onto either the processor pins or the motherboard itself. This material is both thermally and electrically conductive and can cause shorts. If you don?t find anything let us know and provide us with as much details about exactly what you did and how so that we can continue to troubleshoot. If this did solve your problem please let us know and don?t forget to rate this posting.
