Hullo
which model is you lenovo?
But most laptops have battery locks at their bottoms so look for those locks. the locks usually are meant to be moved in an opposite direction and held there then you can pull out the battery simultenously.
Wish You luck

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).

Flip the laptop over so that the front is facing you. The battery is on the back of the laptop. Locate two tabs on the bottom of the laptop and slide them outward and the battery should pop out.

Lenovo laptop 3000 N100 0768-A53 power turns off after 2 minutes, with 120 v source.. Battery does not hold a charge.

Remove the power cord and remove the battery. Plug back in the laptop's power cord. Leave the battery out and try powering up the laptop. If it stays powered on the battery was your problem. I would suggest buying a new battery from a reputable dealer if you can. If you cannot remove the battery yourself your only option may be to have someone else install a new battery for you.
