Installing an internal speaker on a Desk top pc mother board do you need to reconfigure your system.

Typically, the speaker is connected with 2 or 3 wires. The connector block should have a pin labled "SPKR" or "Speaker". From there, count three up and find a pin labeled "+5v". These two pins are typically separated by two ground pins.

So, the connection would be: spkr, gnd, gnd, +5v. The ground pins may, or may not be used depending on your design.

You should have 4 joined pins and 1 black ground for each usb port.
The red wire is for Pin1
White wire is for Pin2
Green is for Pin3
Then you have the Ground wire (black)
The pins on the motherboard are all numbered.

Need pin position for motherboard fsb1066 power, reset, frontal doors...

Hi,
On the motherboard the pinouts on the front panel should be colour coded, and marked with letters like in this picture >>>>>
ce10baf.jpg

The connectors are also marked corresponding to where the connect on the motherboard, like in this picture >>>>>>
66ce2fc.jpg

If the board is not colour coded then the motherboard will marked with the same letters, you may need a strong light to see the marks.

Regards.

ASUS P5GD1-VM Motherboard Problems-ok i just got a new borad because my other ASUS P5GD1-VM Motherboard did not work. i put every thing back but it is not working, the green light come on the motherborad...

did you make sure that all the Correct power connectors were in the correct position Different processors and mother boards use different means to get power to the board. On this particular board there are only Two that i can see. there is one in the corner near the CPU that can easily be over looked it is 4 pin and only fits one way(keyed). only having the 20 pin ATX will show power to the board but may not have the juice to power it.

So double check the four pin axillary connector in the corner near the cpu ( upper left) let me know if you already have done this.

Is it possible that your monitor is bad? or could the cable connection from the monitor to the computer case be in some fashion defective. Look at the cable end that hooks to the computer for bent pins due to improperly plugging the VGA cable into the computer case. If you find such a bent pin, very carefully try to straighten it out with a very small metal tube like some that come in ball point pins. You will need to be very careful doing this as the pins on the VGA connector are very sensitive to breakage if overly pressured. Make sure all power is turned off before attempting this fix. Also, is your Hard drive running, i.e. does the computer seem to be booting up all the way even tho you can't see any display. Normally during boot up, you will see the case Hard drive LED provide a series of displays, indicating that the hard drive is working and booting up. If these displays are occurring, then the next best guess is the monitor or monitor cable. Also you might be able to straighten the VGA cable pins with a very small set of tweezers or needlenose, but please be careful. It is normal to have what appears to be a missing pin when looking at the VGA connector, don't worry about that. What is wrong tho would be a bent pin.
Hope this has been of help
