Hi, the Power Saving Mode, turns the screen off to conserve energy. On the remote, press Menu, and scan to Power Saving Mode. You can change the amount of time, when the Screen turn-off, the TV shut-off etc. You can set the time to (5 min) to, (never, turn-off). This should help with your problem. Thanks paul7of9
i get a similar thing, i accidently entered sleep mode then turned off my computer at the power button on the back, now i turn on my monitor( i dont get blue flasjhing but it jsut goes on and it doesnt register, then says going into power saving mode and the colour on the button turns yellow its very frustrating :(
Try wiggling the Cord on the backside of the monitor.. Not the Power Plug Cord, The Other Cord that attaches to the PC. Do this once the monitor turns off , grab ahold of the cord about 2 inches from the back of the monitor, then bend the cord to the right, keep bending from the right to the left a couple times to see if your screen comes back, if it does, than you have a Loose connection and this sometimes causes the Symptoms you are receiving.. Hope it helps.
Try starting your computer in VGA mode (one of the options available from the menu you get if you keep tapping F8 as the computer starts up). In this mode the monitor should work well enough to get to the right resolution. Go to the display settings dialog (right click background and choose Properties, then the Settings tab), and pick the native resolution for your monitor (1280 x1024). Might be worth checking the refresh rate is ok as well before switching to the new resolution (press the Advanced button and the Monitor tab to check this).
