Certain web cams have probs with the drivers you got to mess with it at times like keep it unplugged from the usb and install it or keep it pluged in well installing it i would first try looking at the Manuel to see what they say about that cam or i can give you some updated drivers and if you dont mind me asking what operating system you using with it

i have had a web cam from logitec and it would be a pain to install it would say no drivers no cam and you just got to fit tile with it

My microsoft lifecam vx-3000 is connected to the computer and I have changed usb ports several times, but it almost always says "There is no camera connected to this computer" when I start the program. ...

Remove the entire USB layer from Device Manager... Right Click on the USB, & Uninstall all delete all drivers from here, then when you are done, Reboot. At startup next time it will NOW self-install the USB, layer again. But before you plug it in. Install the drivers and any software from the disc that came with the camera, FIRST. now Reboot. At next start up when at desktop, NOW plug in your device, to the USB port, and it should be detected, and it will install any drivers it needs, it should now "show up" in device manager. If not, chances are it is faulty.Get a program Amcap2 this is a great program to test with.
