Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-34HS420 34" TV
I have a Sony Wega Trinitron 27". This is actually my second. My first had all the issues with the TV not turning on and I recycled it. A friend of the family had the same TV, but was upgrading and offered it to me. I know this is going to sound odd, but it turns on at various times of the day. I notice the morning times mostly and the times so far range from 4:20-9:30am, no consistency, different every day including weekends. I also have come home to find it on. I have checked the "timer set" function multiple times and it is not on to the best of my knowledge and just in case it is, I have changed both timers to 2pm which has not affected the random turning on times. The previous owner only used it for DVD's and CD playing and has reported no anomalies like this one. There are no pets, the remote is kept in it's holder at night. It is on a surge protector and on very even and solid furniture. Would a factory reset of the TV help? If so can I please have directions to do so? Any thoughts as to what could cause this? I'd prefer to not have to remember to unplug it whenever it is not in use. Thanks so much for any insight!
Have you tried to put it on a different outlet i acutly had a problom one time with the outlet in my house i had a printer on a timer but the timer was defective and the printer would turn off and than on its crazy so i took it off the timer switched to a new outlet and worked fine.
try that and see good luck
