Question about Optoma EP719 XGA DLP PROJECTOR 2000L 2500:1 CONT DVI-D WITH HDCP Multimedia Projector

Optoma DLP EP719

I am in Delhi India.
I have this projector that stopped working. Lamp does not get on.
Changed the lamp replaced new one. Still it does not glow.

Try this: There is a stuffed 10v 3300uf capacitor on the power board. You need to replace it.
Bellow you can check in the picture where the capacitor is located.

Notice that in this picture I have already took the bad capacitor out and replaced with two small cords to reach the bottom and test the new capacitor.
To reach this place is not fast, several layers of plastic and metal must be removed, but is not a hard task to take the capacitor out and replace it for another.
It works just great! Now it is back on track with awesome image.

Lamp comes on briefly and then goes out


Check poewer connection
Check if fan filder is dirty ( if it is just hoover it out)
If "lamp" light on top of the projector blinks or stays lit - lamp probably faulty
How old is the Projector/lamp (average lamp life is around 2000-3000 hours)

Power on, fan runs, get a red led at the "lamp" indicator then the projector goes to standby and shuts off. Projector is a benq MP515

How do I verify the lamp has burnt out


usually inspect it any burn marks ect will usually tell you its time for new, also when you turn the unit on it will make a ticking noise which indicates that your globe is blown. ebay have good prices but look out for cheapies from hongkong

check that the lamp is on securly and that the cover is on securly too.

Optoma ep719 will not power up


Try this:
