Startup trouble Hi, My SyncMaster 540n seems to give me some trouble lately. My PC is a 24/7 machine,, always on, the setting is to turn off the monitor after 20 mins. But when I move the mouse, the monitors' power light just blinks and nothing happens. It dims also with each blink. After 1 mins or at the most 2 mins,, the display is normal. I have an APC UPS RS 1000 which is enuf to support my machine The monitor is directly connected to my UPS I have an nVidia 8800gts 320mb graphic card I have a 600watts power supply of cooler master which I think is enuf Please tell me what is the problem so that I can get it fixed. Thanks in advance

boot up in safe mode (press f8 while booting) If your monitor works now, you need to go the the samsung site and download the driver for you monitor. I assume windows 7, since that is where most of the monitor problem occur.
Capacitors kit: http://lcdalternatives.auctivacommerce.com/he can make you a set of caps for you, or DIGIKEY.COM, make sure to use 105c rating and low ESR type such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.
sounds live you video drivers are not right. verify this is being used. download and run the application setup. it will only install if you have the right monitor
you have to explain more detail the problem, but is there bios detail appear while pc startup? any way try to change the cable first if that can solve your problem may be in the past you set the resolutions higher so you lcd can't display it
