Mouse Has Quit Working All Together. Help!!

Hello, I bought a Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse, model # 1007, and I've had it for quite a while. A few times before it has just flat out stoped working. I've replaced the batteries, reconnected, cleaned the back of my computer (including the USB slot) and still no change. The previous times that this has happened, I just left my computer alone for a week or so and it seemed to fix itself. But Sadly this time that isn't the case. The light on my reciever is still working, and the light on the bottom of the mouse is still lighting up. I'm left at a loss to what to do next. If you have any Idea on what I might be able to do, it would be great to hear from you. Thanks.

I have a Microsoft wireless intellimouse explorer. The receiver may have been dropped, and now my mouse isn't working. I opened up the receiver and nothing appears to be disconnected or anything. It still lights up as does the mouse, but it's not doing anything.

I have no idea how to do what is being suggested. Can you give me some details how to do it? Thank you.

I had the same problem with my Microsoft Intellimouse 1007 (Explorer 2.0) Tried various solutions (reinstall/update drivers). In the end I went into the board bios and found that enabling the motherboards 'USB mouse' controller and 'USB keyboard' controller solved the problem. Hope this helps.

Just turned it on this morning and the mouse has no effect on the cursor. Receiver lighting green, mouse light red. Replaced batteries, no effect. Button on receiver and Connect button on bottom of mouse, no effect. How can the connection be reset?
