Hi there the first thing ill tell you is that the washer needs to drain water before it can spin there are only a few factors that prohibit this operation a faulty lid switch secound a blown or blocked water pump being they are famous for jammed water pumps as they decided when they built the sysyem to turn the water pump upside down this causes a lot of stress on the water pump see if you can lay the hose on the ground and get all the water out i belive the machine will then start to spin dry. in this case it is the water pump and have it replaced

best of luck

You may have a lid switch problem. I see this alot. Poke something into the lid switch hole and listen for a crisp "click". If not, you have a bad switch. Hope this helps,

Gf1001l0ww fills spins and drains won't agitate

Check the drive to the drum and check the paddle.
It is possible also that there is no output to the motor for the wash cycle and if so the control panel board is a suspect.

My roper top load washer model rtw4440vq fills with water but wont wash, spin or drain

see this causes and fix it. God bless you
Motor Coupling If the washer won't spin or agitate the motor coupling might have failed. The motor coupling connects the motor to the washer transmission. It is designed to fail if the washer is overloaded in order to protect both the motor and
Drive Belt If the washer won't spin or agitate, check the drive belt. If the belt is broken or if it isn't tight on the pulleys the washer won't spin or agitate properly.

Drive Motor If the washer won't spin or agitate the drive motor might be defective. This is not common. Check all of the other related parts to this symptom before replacing the motor. If the motor is visibly burned out or physically damaged, replace it.

Stator Assembly If the washer won't spin or agitate the stator assembly might be burned out. The stator is essentially one half of a motor, it interacts with the tub by creating a strong electro-magnet. If the stator burns out the washer won't spin or agitate. Check the stator for continuity. This part is often misdiagnosed.

Door or Lid Latch Assembly If the washer won't spin or agitate the lid switch assembly might be defective. This is a very common problem. The lid switch assembly can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any electrical switches with an Ohm meter for continuity. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Door Lock Motor and Switch Assembly If the washer won't spin or agitate the door lock assembly should be checked. The door lock can fail either mechanically or electrically. Test any switches on the door lock with an Ohm meter. The switches should have continuity according to their design.

Motor Control Board If the washer won't spin or agitate the motor control board might be defective. The motor control board provides power to the motor as well as direction and force. If the motor control board is defective the washer may not work at all or function properly.

Whirlpool washer WTW5510VQO will fill, spin and drian but won't agitate, just makes a clicking noise.

If this is just clicking then the agitator bearings stuck or something is jamming it.

Washing machine won't fill. i filled it by hand with water, it won't agitate either, only spins.

The inlet solenoid is probably bad. And it won't agitate unless it fills and stops filling automatically.

Kenmore washer 90 series continue to fill w/water. Load size won't stop the fill... had to shut off water source. won't get to agitate phase... just want to stay at fill stage... can drain, spin,...

Sounds like the fill switch needs to be replaced. A good way to test it is to set your machine on low fill and see if it fills past 3/4. If it does, it's the fill switch.

My Maytag washer Model:LAT6800AA won't run after it fill cycle. I replace the fill level pressure switch because mit would not stop filling no matter what setting the fill switch was in, now it fills...

Is your model number correct? Or is this the LAT8600AA? (typo?)

This wiring diagram is typical of most every LAT model as far as the water fill & agitation circuits:

Can you select spin and have the maching spin?

Here is how to test the motor:
You can sacrifice an extension cord to build this test harness.

The direct connections for a motor run test involves making a test cord. The test cord will have 4 connections (2Y connections) I.e. each of the power / cord wires is split off to 2 terminal on each wire. This will run the motor. Reversing the motor is done by switching wires B and C
If the motor runs during this test. it is sure looking like the timer is bad.

If you can not see the end of the D wire it Connects where the BLACK wire was.
All wiring harness wires from the machine have to be removed for the test. Draw your own diagram for the wires you removed!!!!!!

Maytag stackable top load wash maching - will fill with water but then nothing. It just stopped.??

Hi. Listen for an audible click as you just open and close the lid. You should hear a micro-switch. If you do not hear that click you most likely have a bad lid switch. A bad lid switch on a Maytag washer will still let it fill BUT, it will not agitate or spin.

If you hear a click then there are other things to that can cause the symptom that it would spin but not agitate.

Thanks for choosing FixYa,

Kelly
