Question about Fisher and Paykel IWL12 Top Load Washer
Started out with an out of balance load. Wife repositioned load and restarted. Became out of balance again. She came to get me because it was beeping every sec. I opened the top and it was over full of suds and half full of water. I removed the clothes and unplugged for 60 secs, then retried the wash. The same thing happened. It runs through the cycle, then stops at the end just before spinning with half a tank of water. Then it starts beeping every sec with the last light in each cycle lit up. I've tried leaving it unplugged for a full day, but no change in the pattern. The machine is about 4 years old.
Had similar problem with not draining and then motor burned up. Took motor off bottom (see my issue "eco smart won't drain, smells hot" for how to remove motor--very easy. Found husband's sock in very bottom of drainage area and pulled it through quarter-sized hole where motor unit attaches. I couldn't see this sock when looking from above between the tubs.

I would say that your washing machine has a blocked pump??

Hi Mate, I had the same problem and then looked on the web to find that all I need was a $40 out of balance switch. Although the old one looked ok it had corrosion inside, bought a new switch and installed it myself, easy, ask the F&P parts supplier if you are not sure.
