Question about Fujitsu AMILO M-6500 Notebook
Pls how to Remove DVD ROM from LAPTOP Toshiba Satellite A50.
I got the repair manual but I find find it difficult to remove after removing the top screw
Easy once you know how. Forget all the screws on the bottom and splitting the case as this is not required.
On the front of the laptop remove the black strip (Where on/off button is) then remove the keyboard which pops up easily, under this you will see a ribbon cable which again levers out easily. This hides the one screw that holds the DVD drive in place, once this screw is removed just push the DVD drive out of its slot, remember to remove the angle bracket from the drive so you can use it on your replacement. Reverse all previous moves and of you go.

yes, theres a great site for toshiba manuals, google toshiba laptop repair guy, and you'll find it.
I think if I remember right, the keyboard has to come off, then theres 1 or 2 screws to remove and it comes out.
Thanks good luck
