I tried and it didn't work. It wouldn't turn on at all.Should i try doing the same thing on different computer?

Exactly the same problem. I've downloaded some files to K3, turned it off, and now I cannot turn it back on. When plug the USB cable (tried on different computers), it does not turn on either. The last time it was plugged in, the display said that it was fully charged. I bought it 7 month ago!!!!

Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard

Definitely try a different computer - it's a good way to see if there is some issue with your own USB port(s). That was precisely how i fixed a Sansa Clip that I was about to give up on.

With hardware issues like this you will most likely want to get the unit serviced or replace it. If the buttons are bad, then basically the whole ipod is broken as well

I have a philips mp3 player model sa3245/37 and it will not charge when i plug it into the usb in the computer or when i plug it into the wall. ive pressed the reset button and still doesnt do anything ive...

The player may not be compatible with your computer. It may have something to do with the age of it. Mine doesn't work on computers that are really old or on the PS2. Try getting a Music Power Duet charger. The player should work on that. You can buy it from walmart.

Broke!

Try manually reseting the player:

press and hold the Select button while pressing the Volume Up (+) buttons simultaneously.

Also, after doing so, try connecting it to the computer, and leaving it for about 5 mins to see if you can get a charge. Then turn it on, if that works, you just need to charge your battery.

if that doesn't work, return and exchange it since you just bought it.

I have a GoGear device that won't charge

Hi, I had the same problem with my SA31xx, when I plugged it into my PC it made the normal usb sounds and then a flash symbol appeared over the battery on the screen. It would not charge at all, I replaced the usb cable and it now works perfectly. Hope this helps.

Try these options i got them from apple when my ipod dident work trying a new port and reinstalling itunes worked for me 1)Reset your iPod. 2)Retry with a different USB or FireWire port. 3)Restart your computer and make sure you have the latest software updates installed. 4)Remove iTunes software and then reinstall iTunes software from latest versions on the web. last resort 5)Restore your iPod. See ?Updating and Restoring iPod Software? in the user's guide.
