Bosch battery charger lights up as if charging. However battery doesn't charge. Have tried 3 batteries. I have tried numerous tools so we know it is not the tool. Is there a way to check or repair the charger.

Bosch PSR 1440 power drill. How do I know when the battery is charged?

Tracey,
There should be a legend on the top of front of your charger that should explain the light sequence for the charging process.

Bosch battery charger

You cannot over charge a battery pack as the charger stops at full charge. However by recharging a partially used battery pack you can develop a memory in the pack that the charger will not charge past

Battery will not charge

There are only three likely solutions.

1. The charge port on your phone is broken (Most likely)
2. The battery has reached a thermal cutoff and will no longer accept a charge.
3. The charger cable is bad.

If you can try another battery or put that battery into another phone you can isolate that problem. If you can charge something else with your charger then your charger workers.

If that still doesn't work then plug the charger into your phone and lightly press on the charger. If your phone springs to life it means the charge port is likely suffering from a poor connection. If this is the case then sadly there is nothing you can do unless you're very good at soldering.

I was using my psp while it was charging and the charging light turned off, so i naturally assumed that it was fully charged. But a few minutes later the battery died and it wont charge when i plug it in....

Have you tried to remove the battery and put it back in and try to turn it on. Try removing the battery and putting the charger in and starting the PSP. If it starts, it might be the battery. If it doesn't, it's either the plugin for the charger or the PSP is just dead. If it does start with the charger, try putting the battery back in, if it charges awesome. If it doesn't the battery might be dead.

I've got a Bosch ps30 drill that uses bat411

Directions say green light indicates that the battery is fast charging only,it does not indicate at exact point of full charge. I let my batteries charge for 12 hours for the first time charging, found out myself the same way. Try that and you will notice the difference.

Battery not charging. Orange and Green light on charger. 18V Plus one system

The air holes on the bottom of the batteries are there for the battery to vent. Downside is, these vents can also allow moisture to get in and prevent contacts from letting the battery charge and causing the "defective" display on the charger.

I work on pool and spa equipment and I had dropped my batteries in a small puddle of water where I was working, both went dead immediately and both showed "defective" on the charger even after drying them out for a few days.

Tried using a can of air and gave each of the vent holes several shots... The batteries charged and are now working perfectly.

I'm sure even overnight condensation could be the culprit for a charger to display "Defective"
