Washer motor makes lots of noise as its trying to spin. Hardly spins at all with wet load. Spins slowly and still makes noise when spinning with drum empty. Does this mean the motor is bad or is it the motor and control board

If it is a really loud noise that drives you out of the house then probably a bad bearing. If that is the case then time for a new machine. Also check for something caught between the tubs.

I just bought a used kenmore front load washer. The previous owner said the bearing went out. When i spin the tub by hand it doesn't make any noise and the tub spins evenly. Does this mean for sure thst it...

Not really. When you are spinning the drum by hand there is no load on the bearing. Wet clothes add a lot of weight to the spinning drum and would stress the bearing a lot more than what you are doing.

The door is closed good. However, the washer will not spin.

if it spins slowly but atleast spins? You may have a slipping clutch, bad brake assembly or if belt driven a loose or worn belt. maybe even a worn down motor coupler

My washer/dryer combo Frigidaire washer dosn't spin water out of clothes completely after spin cycles the clothes is still very wet. On the 1st spin cycle drum dosn't spin just makes noise, the 2nd and...

Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand your Frigidaire laundry center, model# FGX831CS, is not spinning water out of your clothes completely. I see that on the first spin cycle the drum is not spinning and is just making noise, and on the second spin cycle the drum spins to the left very slowly and loudly. First check to see if your washer is overloaded. Try taking some clothes out and spinning them again. Secondly, make sure that the load is not out of balance. Try rearranging the clothes to allow for proper spinning. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your dryer status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

My washer spins out very slowly and the water drains but the clothes are very wet.

f the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt (Maytag), a worn clutch (GE/Hotpoint), or a worn motor pulley or tub bearing.

Washer drains then spins then fills again and drains but no spin

Try this, unplug washer for two minutes, plug back in, open and close lid seven times slowly, this will reset the computer and the electronic motor. Also on water level switch, make sure hose from switch to tub is not plugged, blow it out, gets clogged with soap.

WASHER MAKES A HUMMING NOISE IN SPIN CYCLE BUT DOESN"T SPIN & CLOTHES ARE SOPPING WET.

what's the brand name and model number, all washers are different, most likely it's the motor humming or the pump is humming, could have something stuck in pump,if the water doesn't drain the washer won't spin,if you have a shop vac pull the drain hose out of stand pipe or sink, stick the shop vac hose onto the drain hose, get it down as low as you can and suck out the water and then see if it spins,if there's alot of water in the tub suck it out of the tub first then go to the drain hose,if it spins when water is out you know it's the pump but if you say water is still in tub i would have to say it is the pump,

GE WASHER SPIN OUT PROBLEMS

Sounds like the suspension for the drum is having problems - there are usually springs holding the drum up and acting as shocks - one of the springs may have come off during an unbalanced load.
