In most cases it is the capacitors in he power supply section that have gone out.

Common symtoms are
-shuts down
-takes a long time to come on
-relay clicks
-dead set

You can get capacitors online or you can get a complete kit with instructions and support from www.TvRepairKits.com . Its a failry easy DIY fix.

no, the board it is on is sold as a unit---I have seen several techs try to replace the socket---there are some sites on the internet that stock by model number all the boards Google Samsung boards/parts.

The only other option I see is connect the set via another input like component--that connector and the board are history.

Most likely has some capacitors in the power suppl bad. You can find them if you remove the rear cover. They will be swollen. either 1000 mfd or 2200 mfd . Replace with new ones.

yes ,, the problem on ur tv is the power supply , u have bad capacitor , now this problem is under recall by samsung , u may want to call 1-800-samsung that way u dont has to pay for repair
