When i turn on the element the power comes on but goes of again. This happens with all elements, oven , and lights. If i touch the front panel it comes on again but won't stay on...sometimes it does stay on.
Have you thought about reading the manual, it states that the heat goes off and on to maintain the proper heat while cooking, You should turn the burner off a few minutes before done because even on off the burner is still cooking while it is cooling down to go off. And you do not need to have as high of heat to cook that's what so great about this ceramic tops you save time and energy.

The circuit breaker outside in the power panel for the stove has a bad breaker. It will be two breakers with their handles joined together by a pin so if one tripe it takes the other so 220 V is no longer present. When one, but not the other trips you only have 110 V. That's why the lights and clock still work but no heating elements.
sounds like youtr circut board is burnd out.also im not sure if youre model but some frigidair stoves had a callback because of the short problem .the were seting houses on fire.call youre local appliance dealer and see if youre model falls under this catigory.if i were you i would not use this unit it could result in a electricle fire untill you contact local dealer.
First I would look at the heating element in the oven and make sure it is all in one piece. there are usually one on the bottom and one on top. sometimes they will burn apart and short out to stove. if they look ok then do a quick check, I would turn off all knob on the stove top and oven. then try to reset the breaker. hopefully it resets ok. then turn on one at a time and see which burner or oven element has a short. when you find the bad burner or stove element it will trip the breaker again. hope this helps
Did someone bump the self-cleaning lock lever? If you have one, make sure it is all the way over to the right. Try resetting the unit by tripping the breaker. Leave it off for 30 secs min and turn it back on. See if that works. If not, let us know and we'll help you further.
Unplug the machine. Remove the door and racks unscrew the element being careful not to loose the wires or you might have to get the stove out from the wall. Tip: pull the bottom drawer out and you can usually unplug the power without disturbing the stove.
There is a bottom hidden element that is the main element used for baking and cleaning. If its not heating then the element has gone bad and needs replacing. If you have a volt meter then you can confirm this by checking the voltage between the two terminals sticking out of the rear of the range. There should be 240vac across the two. If you have that then you need a new element if you don't then you need a new control board.
oh bleep, right? well, if you're lucky this will get you going again. 1. disconnect power to range. 2. remove back metal cover just above range power cord (usually 5 quarter inch hex screws) 3. look for burnt off wire leading to/from bake element. If yes, 4. strip ends of broken wire and splice with ceramic wire nut if no 4. bad news. replace ERC (electronic range control) you fried something on the board. It's got the clock display and all the electronics behind it.
Sometimes in self clean it can burn out the element. Need to check the element with an ohm meter and see if it shows resistance. If it shows open then the element is bad. If it shows resistance then the element is ok. Next see if you are getting 220 volts to the element when in bake mode. If you are not getting 220 volts then the control is bad.
