I downloaded Java for my laptop w/ windows vista and about a day later it said thier was a problem/corrupt and asked if i would like to uninstall it and when i did it wouldnt let me and it said error 2330 and 1392 so but now the programs that use Java are saying its not thier so i tried to install it from the website again but it says its still thier and then asks me it i would like to reinstall i say yes and it goes to remove it and it end up giving the same error message so im just stuck w/o Java what do i do?
Some the installer files are stucked. and few of the registry has got currupted so either u install it from the substitute from microsoft which is MicrosoftVirtualJM which works similer to that of sun or repair ur registry through PC Tool Registry Repair. Can Get it frm PC Tool Web site

If you want to do standard programming, download the Java SDK (also known as JDK). If you want a free editor in which you can write code, compile it, test it and so forth, download the version with NetBeans. The link is: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp
That means you don't have the necessary permissions to execute the file. If you are an Administrator on the system, Windows Vista and Windows 7 have the UAC (User Access Control) on. So what you need to do is right click on the installer and click on "Run as Administrator".

If you are working on a PC that has deep issue with Internet Explorer 6 and you are having issues installing Internet Explorer 8 then the problem are more sever tan just Internet Explorer 6 being corrupt.
Your best chance at resolution is to reinstall Windows and perform all the Windows updates.
Had same problem...All suggestions I googled to get it resolved didn't work for me. I downloaded the latest version to my desktop. Disconnected my internet connection and ran the installation. Worked fine.
