Question about Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra MP3 Player
I have a 60GB Nomad Jukebox Zen Xtra that's at least a couple of years old now. It has worked like a champ up until today, after I accidentally dropped it (not for the first time ever, and less than a foot drop). The display has stopped showing anything (although the backlight still comes on when you turn it on). It still plays the current contents of the Selected Music queue, but nothing appears on the display either while playing, or in rescue mode.
Since these are long since end-of-lifed, is there anything I can do for this?
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard
