Obtain a PUK Code

Instructions: When the error message "ENTER PUK CODE" is shown on the screen of the device:

1. Log into myAT&T.
2. Select Wireless from the myAT&T tab at the top of the page.
3. Select Phone/Device.
4. Click Unblock SIM Card.
5. A new page will open, containing the PUK code for your phone. Enter the code on your phone's screen to unblock the SIM and create a new PIN.

Unblock SIM Card

1. Enter the eight-digit PUK code on the phone, then press OK/Yes.
   Note: Some Motorola phone users need to enter **05* if "enter PUK" is not already displayed. After entering **05*, enter the eight-digit PUK code and press OK.
2. Select a new PIN code, then press OK/Yes.
3. Re-enter the PIN code, then press OK/Yes.
4. If the codes were entered successfully, the phone is ready for use.

If the incorrect PUK code is entered 10 times in a row, the SIM card becomes permanently locked and a new SIM card must be purchased. If the device is requesting PUK2, call Customer Care at 800-331-0500.

Assuming you are an AT&T Customer

For PUK codes, you can attempt 10x to enter the PUK codes in your phone. Once you enter incorrect PUK codes 10x,you'll recieve PUK blocked then what you need is to enter the PUK2. Make sure that you will enter the PUK2 correctly because if you enter incorrect PUK codes 10x,you'll recieve PUK BLOCKED error again. This time,you need to ask your service provider for SIM replacement.

A PUK (PIN Unlock Key) code is required to unlock SIM cards that have become locked following three successive incorrect PIN entries. If your SIM card becomes locked, you will need to get a PUK code from AT&T to unlock your SIM card.

You can obtain your phone's PUK code from AT&T by:

• logging in to your myWireless Account online
• using our Technical Support Chat
• calling Customer Care at 1-800-331-0500

To get your phone's PUK code online:

1. Log in to your myWireless Account.
2. Select My Services under My Account.
3. From the My Services screen, select My Phone/Device.
4. Select Unblock SIM Card.
5. The Unblock SIM screen will display your PUK code.

Once you receive your PUK code, you will need to enter it into your phone to set a new PIN code.

Note: If you enter the wrong PUK code 10 times in a row, your SIM card will be invalidated, and you will need to purchase a new SIM Card. The phone will display the following error: "PUK blocked call operator."

PUK code is a unique code for each SIM card and will be provided by your service provider.
PUK code is a SIM specific code assigned by your service provider. No way you can guess & enter it. So, when it asks for the PUK code, don’t do anything, get the PUK code from your service provider.
Enter the PUK number in your cell phone and you’ll be able to access your cell phone as before

NOTE: Entering the incorrect code more than 10 times will cause the SIM card to be permanently locked and will require purchase of a replacement SIM card. To buy a new SIM, please visit a store near you.

my phone puk code got locked. i can unlock the puk code but it says enter new pin code. and when i verify it it says code error

Pin code is a security code of your sim card, not the phone. Please look your subscription form or contact your service provider for the puk code.

When someone enters wrong pin code for a defined time, the pin and the sim is locked. you then have to use a longer puk code to unlock it. both pin and puk is provided by network operator.
