Question about Computers & Internet
My laptop's sound has not worked for about a week now. I'm unsure why this suddenly occured, although the last time the sound worked the battery died as I was playing a DVD that did include sound.
I have checked the volume, mute features, and everything else under the Sound control panel. My battery now lasts probably 45 minutes without being charged, but I'm hoping I don't already need a new battery because of the sound.
Any suggestions on how to get my sound back? (The volume ticker still makes a noise but nothing else does)
Go into the device manager and uninstall the sound drivers, then reboot the machine. Upon start up it will find new hardware and reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't do it, then you may have blown the sound card or speakers.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
