Running capacitors contain oil in it so it must have been leaked, so thats the reason we need to replace it, It will work fine after replacement.

My immediate reaction would be to cut your losses and buy a new unit as sooner or later you will run into a part that is no longer available.

Rather than new bulbs I suggest you unplug the unit and use a small screwdriver to pull out on the center contact of the light socket.

My Garmin street pilot C330 was purchased about 2 years ago. Lately, it has begun giving a message, Low battery. I have had to charged it up on my computer 2 times in the last 2 weeks. What is the problem?...

2 years is generally about it for the battery on the C330.
You most likely need a new battery.
Charging it on or off does not matter.
Run it with the back light on a dimmer mode to increase battery life for now.

There was probably a bad connection to the power supply. There are three wires. RED is battery(12 volts at all times)YELLOW or ORANGE is acc.(12 volts when key is in acc position) BLACK is ground(connected to any metal part of the car). Pull out the stereo and make redo these connection and makes sure they are right this time.

Hi

Either!

The correct chain is thru the company you bought it from as your first point of contact, but if you get no joy there there is nothing to stop you from taking it directly to the manufacurer. Just bear in mind a few points.

*Just about all warranties are return to base - so you have to take the effort and cost to get it there thus your origional point of sale (POS) is the best place to start and sometimes they will bear the cost of the return.

*You will need your proof of purchase by way of a receipt. Credit card/bank records do not constitute a proof of purchase but will help the company you bought it off provide you with a duplicate. If you payed cash and can not remember the date all bets are off - be nice to the staff that you are talking to because they are under no obligation to provide you with a duplicate (esp cash and no date).

*Some manufacturers will acknowledge batch/serial numbers in lew of proof of purchase becuse these will demonstrate that the unit was manufactured within the warranty period.

*Finaly this is not in reference to your current situation but a verry handy FYI. When you purchase an item or especialy a system you will often find that the supplier (POS) is only offering a 12 month warranty or charge you extra for a 24 month warranty. This is as we aussies say is money for jam. This is because the manufacturers often have significantly longer warranties for components they supply.

Lets look at a system:

Intel CPU - Lifetime warranty
Kingmax RAM - lifetime warranty
Seagate HDD - 5 year warranty
Mitsubishi CDRW, DVDRW, Floppy - 2 year warranty
Most Power Supplies - 2 year warranty

Admitedly most board and adaptors are 12 months but not all.

So you come in with a failed unit, they point at their receipt with the 12 month waranty notice (actualy illegal) sell you a new one (at profit) send the failed unit off for credit or replacement and put it on the floor for sale (more profit).

Final Final Note: No warranty covers any kind of physical damage, power surges, water ingres or a unit being used for a purpose other than for which it was designed and opening or modifying a unit will also void warranty.

Hope this helps.

Sears Garage Door Opener automatically opens

Do you live anywhere near a military base? This may sound like a strange question, but the military began using frequencies that are the same as garage door openers, and a lot of people near bases are having trouble with their door openers. These frequencies were reserved some time ago for the military, but weren't used until maybe a year or so ago. Countrycurt0

Gurrgeling noise after compressor kicks in

The sound that you are hearing is the refrigerant moving through the system. That can be a very normal sound. If you are not experiencing any other issues I think it is ok.

I can't believe that just sitting in a box can harm it. If it was stored in an upright condition, you should be fine. The system has oils in the compressor. So if it was stored upside down or something then the compressor could have run dry. This is usually ok if the unit returns to an upright position for a day or so before it is run.
