Question about Creative Labs Zen Touch MP3 Player
I bought a new Zen V Plus.
When I first plugged it into a Vista laptop, the Player DID Come on for a short while. Blue digital txt on player read "creative" etc.
Since then, nothing whatsoever. No power, no sign on either XP or Vista PC. I'm aware there is a problem with Drivers/Firmware/Vista, but the PC's themselves do not register the connection of the player at all. I think the phrase is "Brick"?
Is there any way that this is NOT a fatal flaw with the player itself, considering:
(a) The notorious problems with operating systems recognising the Zen V Plus and
(b) The fact that - however briefly - it did turn on initially?
I'd be delighted for any help whatsoever. And very appreciative. Again, even Control Panel/Device Manager/Portable Devices does not register the existence of the plugged in Player.
I would think that their is a firmware update that can fix that....i would check out this article...very useful tips for future incidents as well.
