Question about Kodak EasyShare C663 Digital Camera

2 Answers

EasyShare Application. I am trying to load my EasyShare software on my second computer. I downloaded the software and received the congratulations message saying that to complete the application, the computer needs to be restarted and was given the option of clicking "Continue" to restart the computer. I did so and when the computer restarted I received this message: "Application has failed to start because LTDIS10n.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem." I clicked OK and got "One or more system DLL's could not be loaded. ESApp.dll." I clicked OK and was informed "EasyShare is unable to run. Please run Setup and choose repair to fix the application (0,5006.0)." I was given the option to Repair or Cancel. I clicked on Repair. After running this I received the congratulations message once again with instructions to "continue" to restart the computer to complete the application. When the computer restarted, the whole process began again. I manually shut down the computer to see if that would help but still get the same thing. Now each time the computer is shut down and restarted, these messages come up but now I have to click OK each time until I get to the message that gives the option to "Cancel" which I have to do in order to use my computer. I tried to do this a couple months ago and had a friend help me uninstall the program but he told me that the uninstall did not remove all the files. Everything was working fine until I tried to load this software again today and now I'm back in the same fix. Please let me know where I can find these dll's that the messages refer to and how I can get this problem fixed. If there is no way to get this fixed, please instruct me on how to uninstall so that all the components of the program are removed. Please help.

I read PEGGYD's problem but I don't think mine is the same. I have signed up for the $9.99 program and understand that there will be no charge is you cannot fix my problem. Is this correct?

  • Pat Ornouski Jun 25, 2008

My system is Windows XP. We have had no problems downloading any other programs. In fact, I just remember, I had this program downloaded on this computer before and all was working well. Then I got an automatic message that there were upgrades available and, like a dummy, I went ahead and loaded it thinking a upgrade would be better. Since I did not like the upgrade supplied, I uninstalled it. When I tried to reinstall the original software, this problem started. I hope this additional information will help you in solving my problem without a work-around.

Will I receive a reply to my added comments shown above? I have received one email from centralhigh, one email from Maanita and three emails from EasyShare C663 Digital Camera directing me back to this page. There are no comments from Maanita or EasyShare C663 Digital Camera and Solution #1 from centralhigh does not solve my problem. He asks a question and only offers a work around which I do not accept. I have "replied" to all five emails received and only hope that I will receive a response from someone. If I am not going to the proper source for my solutions someone will need to let me know. I can't seem to see any directions on how to use this site. Can someone please help me?

Try again. I have uninstalled and reinstalled my program with no effect. I still have the same problem...nothing has changed. How do I do a registry edit?

  • Pat Ornouski Jul 01, 2008

The only program installed since EasyShare last worked on this computer was EasyShare. I will have my computer person check this out for me. I'm sure he will know to what you are referring. I just thought that I would be able to get the problem solved through this program to save some money but I guess I thought wrong. Thank you anyway even though it did not help.

What operating system are you running on the 2nd computer. If it is new and you are using Windows Vista there is a good chance your software is not working.
try downloading another program to help you with your photography. You can still hook up the camera but you may have to use another program to work with the photos.

    • uninstall all programs you installed since the original installation of the Easyshare program.

    • Reinstall the Easyshare program.

    • if that does not work your computer will require a registry edit'

just to be clear, i said all of the programs you installed since the time this worked need to be uninstalled. not just the drivers for the easyshare.

A registry edit refers to going into your computer's basic programming and rewriting it. there should be a program to make that easier called regedit. but if you do not know the code, it is not recommended that you complete that proceedure.

I am trying to download photos to my pc. All plugged in the the Device Connected box ins blank. Any ideas - its driving me nuts!

OK, when I use my Kodak Easy share cameras on a fresh computer that hasn't downloaded Kodak pictures before I do the following:

Load Easyshare software onto the machine, and install it.

Then, I connect the camera to the computer.

Then, I open the Easyshare software and it may ask a few questions.

Next, I watch the computer (Windows 7) as it loads the proper driver for my camera.

Finally, I click on transfer pictures and I am set with my pictures.

The pictures should show up in the Start Menu's picture under Kodak Pictures.

You should be done.

Let me know how it works out with the Easyshare software downloaded to the computer before trying to load pictures on to the computer.

Kodak Easyshare series 3 docking station won't download photos

No guarantee, but try these easy steps before you do anything else. Unplug both ends of the cable that connects the dock to the computer, wait a few seconds then plug them back in and try the transfer again. If that doesn't help, uninstall the EasyShare software, then go to Kodak.com and download/install the latest software.

Can't connect my Kodak C613 digital camera to my computer.

For solving your problem it is necessary to remove your Easyshare Software completely from your system. Afterwards you need to install the latest version of Easyshare Software. Please follow the steps below: Remove Easyshare Software Click on 'Start' -> 'Settings' -> 'Control Panel' -> 'Software' Please choose 'Kodak Easyshare Software' Please choose 'remove' Please click on 'next' when installation wizard shows up Please choose 'remove' and click on 'next' Please click on 'next' to start the removal of your Easyshare Software. Please make sure that all files of your Easyshare Software has been removed from your system successfully. For remaining the progress please go to step 2. Even if you couldn’t remove the software or it is still in the list. For running Kodak Clear Utility: Please go to www.kodak.com/go/clear and follow instructions given on screen. Click on 'download'-button below on screen. Please choose 'open' and follow instructions given on screen. Please choose option 'save as' after choosing the download option to run clear utility from your PC. Please choose a save path. Open file clear5N.exe after file has been saved. Click on green starting arrow. The programme is running now. Please note! Please click on 'Ok' should messages appear for which you only have 'Ok' as an option that will make sure that you still run the programme. Should you been asked to restart your computer, please choose 'NO'. You receive the following message when the programme has finished: 'Easyshare files have been removed. Please reinstall Easyshare after system reboots'. Your computer will be restarted now. This action removes Easyshare Software from your system but it won’t delete any pictures or videos. But there is the possibility that you have to recreate your collection after reinstalling the Software. We recommend to download always the latest version of Kodak Easyshare Software. You have either the option to download the software free of charge by following the link: http://wwwuk.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn026079.jhtml?pq-path=4509
