The orange bell simply means that you've 'missed' your alarm... as in you haven't turned it off before it finished its alarm sequence. If you go to Menu - 'Missed Alerts' it should be shown in there. Click on it and say 'dismiss', the orange bell should disappear and the alarm should return to normal.
chances are, the phone is totally ruined and there is simply an image burned into the lcd. you can always try soaking the phone in distilled water (to cleanse it of impurities) and then baking it in the oven on the lowest setting to see if it works...
About the only hope of repair I can see is to clean the charging/data connector with 99.9% rubbing alcohol and dry the phone out gently for a while with warm dry moving air, that might work if your very lucky. Best of luck!
