Check if your CPU is properly and firmly seated on the motherboard. You may remove the CPU fan and the processor and refix them if necessary and try.

HI I HAVE THE ASUS P4S800-MX MOTHERBOARD IN THE COMPUTER, HAVE NOT USED IT FOR A WHILE BUT TURNED ON FINE LAST TIME I USED IT, COMPUTER HAS NOT BEEN MOVED AT ALL, NOW WHEN I TURN ON THE POWER BOTTON,...

you must replace your motherboard! it is already dead.this are the common problem of your board (p4s800mx) they are sensitive from power surges. unlike their successor (p4s533mx). this series didn't pass power test their regulators are too weak to withstand abrupt power changes.but if you want to revive it, tou must have skills on soldering small capacitors at the back plate (solder side) of the mobo. it is across the processor PIN side at the middle. this is my email : almond_expert@yahoo.com

Hi,

DDR 333 memory is DDR PC2700, I believe. It might be hard to find a new MB that will work with that. You'll probably have to buy new memory. You'll also need a new CPU fan, unless you know the Socket type of your existing MB. But you should replace the fan anyway on a new CPU/MB install. You should buy as much memory as you can afford.

Try looking HERE and see if anything is in your price range.

Hope that helps...
