Question about Acer Aspire 3690-2196 Notebook
Although its on a T60. Sometimes the clicking works, sometimes it does not, sometimes both mouse buttons act as the 'right' or secondary mouse button. I have been to the BIOS during startup and set things to default, but it reverts back to the weird setting. Also, played around with the mouse settings in control panel but to no avail. Any help will be very appreciated. Driver update search under system settings did not work either as it could not find any new drivers to update!

Try uninstalling the drivers for the mouse from the device manager, the do a hardware search, it will find the device and automatically reinstall the drivers. If this doesn't work, then the synaptic touch pad is shot and needs replaced.

Scroll up and hit "Control Panel."
Click the "Device Settings" tab.
Highlight the touchpad in the list of devices. Hit the "Enable" button.
Hit the "Apply" button and hit the "OK" button.
Go to the control panel to the Mouse options and click on the Gestures tab and there is an
option that under Virtual Scrolling "Enable Virtual Scrolling" disable that option and that
should stop the auto scroll.
hope this helps
