Rca d52w19 convergence hell

I have been attempting to fix my free d52w19 (someone gave it to me)- the convergence went bad, so I went on ebay and bought a new convergence board for it... I have since installed the convergence board, and it still looks exactly the same! I CAN access convergence in the service menu, (so I am guessing the fuse by the FBT is good) but when i try to use the remote to adjust everything, the crosshairs dont move, however, it DOES switch when i push OK to change colors or 2 to change positions. when i go into AUTOCONVERGENCE, it will go black, fill the screen with red, and then go back to the CONV menu with no change.... Help me Obi-won, your my only hope!

i replaced both, i have even attempted using combinations of both. I am wondering if i was fooled into buying a bad board.

Did you replace the convergence board or the convergence power supply board? usually one color will be a problem with the convergence board and more than one color means the convergence power supply is the problem. Ebay isnt a good place for boards as you never know if the board is good. You can get the convergence or the convergence power supply boards at the following link along with free shipping and tech support.

thats a real possibility on ebay as most people dont know whats wrong with their sets and the just pull parts out and sell them when in reality it most often convergence Issues and power supply problem make up the majority of all television problems when it comes to rear projections
