Samsung BD C6800 Blue Ray player. The sound is crackling ever since I bought it a month ago. I have a $70 HDMI cable not a cheap one. Is there anything I can do for it?

How can I connect a samsung bdf5900 to my hitachi rear projection tv

Your TV is probably older and has Component, Composite and DVI connectors. HDMI is a newer connector that integrates sound. If your RPTV does not have HDMI but DOES have DVI, you can get an HDMI to DVI adapter on eBay or a computer store pretty cheap. You will need another way to get the sound from the Blu-Ray player, either external speakers connected to the player, or stereo RCA cables from the player to the TV (there will be a set of RCA audio plugs with the TV's DVI port).

Connecting my new samsung blu-ray player (bd-fm57c) to my toshiba theaterview tv.

I don't think that cord will work. HDMI carries video and audio signals, you might get video but probably no sound. You might as well try anyway though so here goes... The red green and blue plugs are your video and the other red plug and the white plug is for stereo sound. The yellow plug is just a lower quality video plug. So plug in the red blue and green plugs into the component video inputs on the TV then the red and white plugs into the audio inputs. DON'T plug in the yellow plug. If this doesn't work go to your local home theater store and ask for a receiver or switcher that will downscale high def HDMI to component video and stereo audio. You can probably pick up a cheap one for around $100. Good luck!

Brand new bd-c6800 saying no disc when one is in

Your player is broken. If it is under guarantee, get the supplier to replace it. If the supplier won't replace it, sue!

My blue ray sound will not come on but the sound works of tv programs

If you are using an HDMI cable make sure that your sound is not set to SAP initially. I usually test this by setting the TV to stereo to begin with and troubleshooting from there. The other option is to use the audio out cables provided with your player and plugging those into the red and white RCA jacks closest to the HDMI port.

Hi I have a Yamaha yht 292 surround sound system with a model htr 6230 reciever. I have a panasonic (42'') plasma HDTV (model TC P42X1) attached to the receiver by a HDMI cable. I also have a Samsung Blue...

As per HTR-6230 specifications (http://www.yamaha.com/yec/products/productdetail.html?CNTID=5028494&CTID=5000400&ATRID=1020&DETYP=ATTRIBUTE) the HDMI function is only "audio-passthru", which means your receiver is not able to get the audio from HDMI cable, it can only pass it forward to TV. You would need a receiver with "HDMI switch" to be able to listen to audio via HDMI cable. You can find such receiver by looking if it supports TrueHD audio (which can be transferred ONLY via HDMI cable).

With your current receiver, you can connect it to the Blue-ray player via Optical SPDIF cable. I have checked the specs and both receiver and BD player supports optical connection.

HDMI - no output Samsung P1600 BD

the hdmi output generally needs activating through the menu system. im assuming you havent already done this.
connect it with whatever cable works and navigate through to the menu system to select the hdmi output.
failing that it might be the hdmi cable is an older cable not capable of supporting ver1.3
