You need the manual which you can get here for your board, and download it at the bottom of the page, once you have the manual, then you should see the connections. The other way to tell is to look closely on the board, it might say which goes where right by the connection on the board, and then the wires should say on them what they are, and you can put them where the board says, if you have that on your board.

Need the motherboard layout for the front panel connections for a Dell optiplex 790 desktop, to connect the +/- power switch, power LED, HDD LED to my new case

ok i lied, i went to RUSSIA for you (no USFF mentioned nor answered) ultra SFF.with 13/14 front panel jack.
all MOBO not USFF have 5/6 jack for powerjack
Power_SW labled.

http://pinoutguide.com/Motherboard/Dell_Optiplex_360_790_701_pinout.shtml

i see he does not know how to find ground.?
so pin 1 to 2 jump I guess.
pin 5 is missing keyed pin.
im guessing pin 4 is power 5vdc, for led a meter used, yes measure them.
one more way short pin 1 to case see if this turns on PSU.
if that fails short pin 2 to PC case, one of the 2 will work. I think.

there it is, reverse engineered by a great russian hacker,
thanks to MR, COsta.

Ps do not wreck the connector, use 2 arduino pinned jumper wires,
2 wires 2 pins, no damage to mobo , OK>?

DIY foxconn tower caseTSAA891 connection to abit NF7-S Motherboard

What are you asking for assistance with? Connecting the wires (if so which ones) or finding a manual?

What cables are you having trouble with? If it is the power supply cables you are having problems with, bear in mind that most modern motherboards/PSU's use a 20+4 pin arrangement. Some older PSU's have a different connector.

It could be that you need to update the PSU to match the requirements of the motherboard

Foxconn G31MXP won't boot up

Hello, i just had issue with same Foxconn board , well the solution to bios boot loop is quite often LAN card so disable it in bios if it boots than your lan is fried and prevents the board from booting , almost always if you hit esc for boot menu and it does not pop up just system goes to boot loop than the above solution will work.

Hi Greeneyedbj,

What kind of I/O connectors are you looking for *********** board sir?

pcsyke_138.jpg

The image above has the following for your I/O connectors.
1. Three usb headers up to 6 additional devices, most casing can support 2-4 pins. 2. Front Audio Connector. 3. Front Panel Connector. Power Sw, Reset Sw, Powed Led, HDD Led

Branded casing has the following I/O connectors.
1. Esata 2. Firewire (Dont use the USB headers, firewire use a different pin-layout) 3. Chassis Intrusion Alarm Header.

Hopefully this information helps.

Sound cable connection

Look more closely at your motherboard, for a 4-pin "PC Speaker" label.

The "HD Audio" is _OUTPUT_ (left front, sub-woofer, right front, left back, right back) to Surround Sound speakers.

Dear Sir/Madam, I have a motherboard of a Fujitsu Siemens D1520 (Foxconn) with name: w26361-w51-z1-04. The connections of the Frontal Panel (power LED, IDE LED, reset switch and power switch) consist of...

On the Foxconn boards all connectors are the standard model, always with the name of the connector printed on the board. In your case probably the speaker has a wide connector - 3 pins wide instead of 2.  Just pair the matching names.

TRYING TO HOOK UP MU POWER BUTTON NEED TO KNOW

Hi there
The front panel connectors are mainly,
  • harddisk activity connector
  • power switch connector
  • reset switch connector
  • power LED connector
  • speakers connector
  • USB connector
Harddisk activity connector
This normally comes red in colour and is labeled as HDD-LED
Power switch connector
This comes green in colour and is labeled as POWER-SW
Reset switch connector
This usually comes grey in colour and is labeled as RST-SW
Power LED connector
This is usually green in colour and is labled as PWR-LED
Speakers connector
This speaker will give different beep sounds during boot to tell the user if there is any errors. It occupies 4 pins, however only 2 is important for the function. Be sure to connect the red coloured cable to the positive polarity and the black to the negative.

I'd like to know the sequence to connect the following connectors:power sw, reset sw, power led, hdd led from the front panel to the motherboard (motherboard foxconn sis 651 m03. Thanks West

If your board is the one in this manual, the pins are located very close to the CMOS battery. Page 21 in that manual shows the diagram. Power LED is the top two left pins. Hard disc LED is the bottom two left pins. Power switch is the top two right pins. Reset switch is pins 3-4 on the bottom row. Pin 5 on the bottom is not used.
