Question about Cameras
This could the problem with the screen as the time of useage they tend wear here may be lose connection or broken lead in the connection you need to get it serviced from local service center ..

PENTAX has determined that a limited number of units are affected by this condition.
However, the situation may accelerate when units are exposed to high temperatures and
While only a limited number of cameras are affected by this advisory, if your camera
is experiencing the above symptoms, PENTAX would like to inspect it for service.
If your camera is affected by this malfunction, PENTAX will repair it without charge even
if the manufactures one-year warranty has expired. This will not apply if the camera has
any other than the above-mentioned symptoms. If you have any questions about this
problem, please contact an authorized PENTAX Service Center. To obtain complimentary
service for cameras affected by this advisory, please download and print the service return
form and follow the instructions on the form.
Pentax USA have published a brief note on their Customer Care & Support homepage which refers customers to a separate PDF file for further information. This document pledges repair of the problem free of charge, regardless of warranty status, as long as the camera doesn't have other symptoms not described as part of the problem.
This PDF document in turn refers customers to a separate PDF form which must be filled in, and includes instructions on how to return a camera for service. The return address from the form is:

We couldn't find any details regarding the duration of the free repair offer, nor of serial numbers affected. We suggest you simply contact Pentax for clarification of these points.
