I have a duel deck VCR that will not turn on. I replaced the fuse but that did not cure the problem. Is there somewhere that I can send the VCR for repairs? Robert Lowery rllnnl@vvm.com

Dear Sir,

Unless you are a repair technician, please do not try to open / service the equipment because there is a risk getting fatal electric shocks.

Do not touch any part inside when the VCR power is plugged on.

If you have VOM, try this. Check Power Cable & AC outlet are ok by VOM on AC range.

If your VCR has provision for DC batteries, them check at back of VCR for DC/AC switch. Keep it on AC & check.

Check if your VCR is in warranty or not/ take it to the service center.

Hope this helps.. Best Luck..

Also Check if you have 230/100 V switch at the back of your VCR on right side i.e 230 V side or 110 V side. Depends on normal AC voltage in your country.

My tv clicks but never turns on

Model indicated has ONE VERY COMMON ISSUE:

The large power supply board (power cord goes directly to it) develops all kinds of bad solder connections from age.

I have seen and repaired a number of these where removal and resoldering of the entire board cures the issues.

The bad connections can also take out one or more of the fuses on that board--critical fuses that must be replaced with non-generic fuses.

Panasonic PT-51hx40b projection TV powers off when I try to turn it on

Not sure if the transformer is bad or something on secondary side is pulling the voltage down--if replacing it cured the issue you did good.

If not try to disconnect at source on secondary side to see if with no load the voltage comes up.

Looking for either the xfmr to be bad or something shorted pulling the voltage it creates down.

When i plug unit in an outlet it keeps on blowing the fuse .

blowing the fuse means that you have a shorted parts on your unit, it is mainly due to a shorted rectifier diode/voltage regulator i.c.,check it and replace the shorted parts will cure the problem also replace the open fusible resistor.
