Dcr-sr82 screen will not come on

I turn the camera on, but the screen does not come on. The touch screen still works i.e. when I touch the screen I still hear the audio prompts, but it is completely black.

ApprenticeDid you press the disp/batt info button? That should turn the screen back on because it sounds like the screen is still working...
