Re: Panasonic Remote Control for DMR-ES35V

The remote control just stop working couple of days ago. I thought it needed new batteries, but after the batteries are replaced, it still did not work. I have to operate the machine manually. Does this DVD/VCR have manual pause feature?

All you have to do is unplug the power cord from the unit, wait 10 seconds, and plug it back in. The reboot will make your remote work again. Actually, it is the UNIT that is faulty, not your remote.

There is no manual pause BUT if you were to stop the dvd while it's playing, it should resume from where you stopped when you press the play button again.

Panasonic DMR-EZ47V DVD Recorder / VCR Combo RC1 errior message how do I fix this problem

To get into Service Mode, first put the machine in STANDBY mode, then press the buttons ChUp OPEN/CLOSE and REC all at the same time on the front panel (Ch Up is hidden inside the AV3 input flap). Eventually the front panel display will show "SERV" (after its "HELLO" messages). Anyway, pressing [6] then [5] on the Remote Control tells me that I have an Error Code of "04" which is a Digital PCB or Communication Error (whereas an Error code of "02" means a "Defect of RAM drive"). (To exit from Service Mode, press [0] then [0] which should get you back to "SERV" and then POWER-OFF the machine).

Hopefully, your manual will display your error codes.

Perhaps the remote control is not set to the same control code as your DMR-ES40V. Codes may be set to 1, 2, or 3 on the remote by holding down the enter button and one of those number buttons for several seconds at the same time. The factory default is code 1. Try 1 first. If that doesn't work try 2. If that doesn't work try 3. If one of those codes doesn't work you may have a bad remote or a bad sensor on your machine. On DMR-ES35V models the sensor is located just to the right of center behind the black window

Remote control has stopped working

If you have replaced the batteries with KNOWN GOOD ones, observed the proper polarity when re-installing the batteries AND made sure the remote is in DVD "mode" (if it is a multi-remote) when trying to use it, the remote is bad. Replace the remote.

Remote doesn't work for DVD Recorder

It is now working. The DVD is below a Panasonic TV. We blocked the tv remote sensor and the DVD remote started working. We have unblocked the tv sensor and the dvd remote is still working. I'm not sure what was wrong or how exactly we fixed it.

Is the Remote Control sensor in direct fluorescent lamp light or other strong
sources of light?
Press unit POWER button down over 7 seconds. The POWER indicator goes
out. If the Power was On, the screen will also disappear. After 5 seconds, turn
Power On and operate unit normally. If the steps above do not restore normal
operation, disconnect then reconnect the AC plug and turn the power On.

If that does not work, Panasonic offers free tech support 6 days a week 1-800-211-7262 (pana).

Need help

I have the same model, i pressed Function key(on remote), enter, using up and down arrow keys, select Setup, Remote control code, press 1,2 or 3, then enter. The code on the unit has been set. You must use the same code for the remote control by pressing enter and hold for about 2 seconds at the same time pressing corresponding 1,2 or 3 you selected for unit. This makes the unit and remote compatible with each other. you only change this code if you have other panasonic products that respond to this same remote control. hope that helps.
