This PC is now retired, at HP. (legacy )
no card needed (new) 9/10 times.
my guess you have w7 MS updates on with drivers turned on too. oops
we are not hp here, this is just chat room, (no structure, no files.etc?
your PC is retired.
wone thing to learn about PC and Laptops
is HP used many different wifi and ethernet chip , in a series
making it very hard to get the right one, I use PCI scanner to ID the chip.

so lets try the MS way first
go to device manager. via control panel
see that wifi chip there,bingo
with the Cat5 iternet cable plugged, in right click the DM
wifi chip and pick update driver
this uses PNP (forced) to get the driver.
if that fails, good luck.

doing google searches usually nets you a nice VIRUS.
as most EXE are , just stumbled on.

try this, the HP way yet
try this

run this and it gets what you need (cross fingers in retired PC)

Most of this model come with a B wifi card. You need to get you a wireless G card. Go to this link to download the drive and utility software for the G card. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1637

HP LaserJet pro color MFP M276N Network lan port no working

Troubleshoot the wired network connection
Make sure you are using an undamaged Ethernet cable, check for a green light near the Ethernet port on the printer, and then print a report to verify the connection.
Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the Ethernet cable from the router and the printer.
Check the cable for damage, and then verify that it is an Ethernet cable and not a phone cable.
NOTE: Ethernet and phone cables look similar, but Ethernet cables are usually bigger and have eight visible wires on the connector.
Reconnect the cable to a different Ethernet or LAN port on the router, and then connect the other end to the printer's Ethernet port.
Turn on the printer.
Check the lights on the printer's Ethernet port to make sure the connection is successful. The green light should be steady, and the orange activity light should blink.
Print a Wireless Network Test Results or Network Configuration report.
Inkjet printers with a control panel menu: Open the Wireless, Network Settings, or Setup menu to locate the list of available reports.
Most inkjet printers without a control panel menu: Press the Wireless and Information buttons at the same time, or press the Wireless and Start Copy Black buttons at the same time.
LaserJet printers: Press and hold the Wireless button for 10 seconds or until the Ready light blinks, or go to the Wireless menu and select Wireless Network Test.
Laser NS and Neverstop Laser printers: Press and hold the Resume and Wireless buttons for 3 seconds.
DeskJet 6000 and 6400, ENVY 6000 and 6400, and Tango printers: Touch and hold the Information button until all control panel buttons light up, and then touch the Information and Resume buttons at the same time.
Make sure the Network Status is Ready, or follow any instructions to resolve network issues identified on the report.

My wireless button wont turn on?

either your drivers are missing, which you can get from the HP site under the support tab....or you need to switch it on using the switch or holding down the FN key on your keyboard & pressing the wireless key, which should be on an F key with a little picture of a wireless symbol.

I have an hp comp that wont connect to my netgear internet access

Define/explain "wont connect".

Are you trying to use an Ethernet cable to connect the two devices? If so, try a different cable, to rule-out a "bad" cable.

Do you have any software like "Norton Internet Security" on the HP? It is notorious for "blocking" attempts to connect to "unknown" networks.

Does your desktop computer have a wireless networking adapter that you are trying to configure/use?

Will any other computer, either via Ethernet cable or wirelessly, connect to the NetGear router? If not, then maybe the NetGear is the problem.

Any error-messages when you try to "connect" ??
Exact wording?

Computer Will not start with my new pci device

Remove the card and install again making sure it goes all the way in..( and/or installing on another slot.. Make sure theres no hair or dust goes in the slot.. If problem persist, 1. You probably need to access bios n configure/enable the pci ports.. 2. The power supply is insufficient.
