Ok, this is a strange one. There are 2 xbox 360's in the house. (My mates and my own) There are 3 HDTV's in the house. He told me that his is not working on one of the tv's. So I tried his xbox on my own tv, still didn't work. So then I tried my Xbox on the TV where his didn't work at the start. Mine Didn't work! So something is wrong here. I put my Xbox back to it's original TV and now it won't work either. but this is the kicker... both work on the third tv! The crazy thing is that my xbox worked on my tv a few minutes ago. Now after trying it one tv, it won't work on the other. NOTE: scart leads work on all Xbox's. So I'm asking you. why would it only work one some tv's? and better yet, why would it work on one tv and then not work just a few minutes later?? but both still work on the 3rd TV!! I know that it may be a lot to handle, but any help would be appricated. TV1 = Neither work TV2 = Neither work (but one did just a few minutes earlier) TV3 = BOTH WORK!!

Connect the audio/video input of the component cable into the "A/V" port located on the back of the xbox 360
Step 2:
Match the red, blue and green cables on the other end of the component cable to the corresponding component ports on your HDTV. If your HDTV has more than one set of component inputs, make note of which one you use.
Step 3:
Slide the switch on the component cable to "HDTV."
Step 4:
Turn on your HDTV. Set the video mode to the component port that will be used. HDTVs with multiple component ports will usually be labeled "Component 1," "Component 2" and so on
Step 5:
Turn on the Xbox 360. Go to "My Xbox." Select "System Settings" then "Console Settings" then "Display" and then "HDTV Settings." Choose the display setting (720p, 1080i and 1080p) that is best compatible with your HDTV. If you're not sure, try them all until you find the one that looks best.
Step 6:
Disconnect any previously connected A/V or component cables.
Step 7:
Connect the HDMI AV cable connector to the "HDMI AV" port on the Xbox 360.
Step 8:
Connect the other end to an available HDMI port on your HDTV. If your HDTV has more than one HDMI input, make note of which one you use.
Step 9:

there is a switch on your AV cables, check to be sure its on the HDTV setting. the switch is located where you connect the cable to the back of your xbox, if the cable is plugged in, it will be on the left side.
This is going to sound like a very strange solution, but it worked for me, twice. My xbox 360 gave me the red ring of death once, and in my despair I asked a few friends about anything they can think of, and one suggested letting it run for 10 minutes while wrapped in a towel, or blanket. By that point I was desperate enough to try it (I had bought a refurbished one, so it wasn't under warranty anymore), and lo and behold, my xbox 360 is as good as new. Basically what you're doing is shocking the system into working via overheating... I know that doesn't make much sense, but, like I said before, it worked twice for me. Hope this helps!
Yes they will still fix it for you as their is test points on the board where they can check each part for faults as you told them their was 3 flashing lights they will know whats wrong with it anyway as this is for the tech guys to diagnose what fault it is the lights flashing 3 times will tell them the problem so dont worry they will fix it for you and they should give you warranty anyway so you will be ok
