Do you mean on the back left side? If so it is to plug in a monitor.

Yes you can charge your player through main. All you need is a converter which connects to the usb cable to the plug. They are available in the market so you will need to look for it. Or you may find it at any electronic store.

Is it possible to use the rgb input on the sd-643hd5 as a computer monitor input? My laptop has a female 15 pin video out which seems compatible with the tv's input except that they are both female...

O don't see why not. They are both female by default, as we don't want VGA pins poking out of the rear of our laptops to catch on stuff.
Don't forget to tell the laptop to switch to external screen.
Hope this helps.

Bose audio input receiver cable 15 pin

You can buy it on ebay but it's cheaper just to make one. If you can solder, all you need is a female 15-pin d-type connector and a bunch of speaker wire. Here is a diagram of the connections.

Hello herb31,

It sounds like there is a difference in the signal levels on the inputs to the amps. You did not specify what the RCA's are connected to on the head unit side. If they are connected to a stereo pair of preamp outputs, you may be able to solve the problem by using only the channel with the higher signal and use an RCA "Y" adapter to split it to both amps. If they are connected to a dedicated subwoofer output on the head unit, make sure that the head unit is set for "subwoofer". Some less expensive head units, I know JVC in particular, has only 1 set of line outputs and requires you to go into their "PSM" (Preferred Setting Mode) to set the line output mode and if you select "subwoofer", then allows you to select the low pass frequency.

If you are converting speaker-level outputs through a "line out converter", check both the input and output levels.

Also, if you are splitting an output from the head unit, you still need to connect 2 RCA's to the amp inputs. The signal will be properly split if you use a 1-female to 2-male "Y" adapter. To feed the same signal to both amps, you would need 3 "Y" adapters. Feed the output signal to the female end of the first "Y", and plug the male ends into the other 2 "Y" adapters. Then, the 4 plugs you have left on the ends go into your amp inputs.

Hope this helps.

Tom Tom 1 Not charging.

I have had the same problem.
after carefully dismantling the unit I resoldered the connections to the power plug.( using a fine tipped soldering iron) I did this on both sides of the pcb.
Although the joints did not look to bad after re soldering and reassembly the unit has performed faultlesly ever since.
As you have to disconnect some sockets and remove pcb,s to do the job properly its best done by someone competent in this sort of work.
One thing to note that caught me out, make sure the lead from the internal antenna is connected as you put the unit back together

Lose wire with 6Wires connector... need diagrams of pin out

(There are different versions of the ba-200, so I'm assuming they al use the same wiring/pinout...) if you look at the amp on the enclosure(right-side up... so the writin goes left->right): The top left pin is #1, beside it is #2, then #3. The bottom left pin is #4, beside it is #5, then #6. #1 Right speaker positive input #2 Empty #3 12 Volt Constant Power #4 Left speaker positive input #5 Remote turn on / Acc power input #6 Ground Now there's supposed to be a 15-amp fuse on pin #3 (12v constan power).
