There may be something stuck under the bar like a crumb of biscuit or a bit of grit that stops the bar from free movement.

Not 100% on your model laptop, but on some leptop keyboards only the middle unit acts as a spring to return the spacebar to its resting position. As far as replacement with house hold items, the only thing that comes to mind is trying a fat rubberband. Cut it so its a strip and double over a few bits to make a pad of sorts.

Best of luck.

I broke my spacebar off my laptop gateway computer! How do i fix this?

Of all the keys on the keyboard, replacing the SPACEBAR is probably the most difficult. The SPACEBAR is kept even by a metal wire that is inserted into slots on each leg of the plastic bar key. However, you have to get the wire into the slots without depressing the wire. If you push the wire down, you compress the wire and installation becomes impossible. As a general rule, do not remove the SPACEBAR unless absolutely necessary. If you remove the SPACEBAR, remove several surrounding key caps also. This will let you get some tools under the SPACEBAR wire later on. Once the SPACEBAR is reinserted, you can easily replace any of the other key caps.

My spacebar on my acer 6390 came off please help

Hello.

Generally, the spacebar cannot be repaired, but it's worth a try:

Use a hot melt glue gun.

Turn your laptop upside down.

Put glue on the spacebar.

Press into place.

Hope this helps.

Spacebar not responding on Toshiba laptop Satellite

Since the spacebar is the most used key on the keyboard, it is likely a hardware failure of the spacebar itself. Replacement keyboards can be found on EBay and normally run about $20

I don't think it is worth messing around with it anymore..Look for a replacement on ebay..Unless you get another same model and remove the needed bits..

Crazy Glue. Individual keys are not available for resale at reasonable price. You could replace entire keyboard cheaper. That is an option for you. Contact local pc shop.

Spacebar stuck

Ok ya gonna haveta get a New Keyboard for ya Lappy... they are relatively easy to replace they are an "All-in-one" thing and usually have a ribbon cable that plugs into the motherboard... ya could disconnect it for now and plug in an external keyboard to ya Lappy to get ya going... But be gentle getting the old keyboard out.. maybe even go online and get a Manual to see how it comes apart.. else it's off to the shop. GL
