Question about Bose Lifestyle 28 System
I mistakenly set the video format from NTSC to PAL (European Standard) and the screen is now blank when playing dvd's. The system buttom on the remote does not bring back the menu screen to allow me to change back to NTSC.
Any ideas how to fix? Try to play a DVD ,I have excellent sound but no Video (Black Screen)
I have the system for a month everithing was perfect, but lastnight I wanted to watch a movie .and nothing.I checked the connections looking for loose wires ,still nothing,I can watch the cable, I play CD's excellent but with DVD's I only get the sound of the movie but not video
Salutations taco loco,
After reading over your owners manual I can only offer once piece of advice. You should be able to reset your system by unplugging it from the power fully for 60 seconds. This is usually used during a power interruption or surge, but may assist in this case as well.
I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Incompatible Video Signal
i forget exactly how to do this, and i know how to do it, but your menu should still display on your tv when you press the menu button. but,,,,
worse i did it in a hotel and had to get engineering to fix it for me....
you need to reset the system, the instructions are in the manual,
but to get your picture dislaying on your tv, get an adaptor for the end of your scart cable and plug the yellow video component into the AV socket on your TV. this should work until you wade through the manual. even though the picture wont be good.
