It should store at least twice that number of songs in mp3 format, and up to 2000 in the AAC format. The best guess at this range is that there are other files taking up storage, the most likely being a few videos.
Use iTunes to check the storage usage, as described here
You connected your blue alpine wire (power antenna) to your blue wire (amplifier remote on) on the BMW harness adapter. You need to undo this, amputate your blue alpine wire (because your E36 has no power antenna) and connect the alpine blue wire with white stripe (remote power) to your blue wire on the harness adapter.
When you switch source from the radio, alpine is shutting off your amplifier through the connected power antenna wire. Since you're not listening to the radio anymore, it sees no reason why it should give it power.
Greetings, As I understand it video podcasts will not work on the shuffle. However there are a ton of great audio podcasts that you can subscribe to free of charge from the iTunes store. Podcasts vary in length and mbs used. The podcasts I listen to are about an hour long. On a 1 gig shuffle you can fit about 26 hours of podcasts. Let me know if you have any more questions by commenting in this thread. Also please rate me well if this helped you. Take Care, -WN
This happened to me to. I was listening to it when I arrived at my destination, and I thought I turned it off and I put it in my pocket. Later that day when I went to listen to it, it wouldn't turn on at all. Aparently, it had stayed on. Hold the pause button for five to ten seconds. The apple symbol will appear on your ipod. Immeadility put it in your docking station before it goes away. Your ipod will turn on, and itwill start charging.
