Question about Microsoft Zune JS8-00001 Digital Media Player
THE BATTERY ON MY ZUNE 80G IS SHOWING FULL BUT IT TURNS OFF AFTER 30MINS OF MUSIC AND THEN DOESNT TURN BACK ON UNLESS I PLUG IT IN...
If you just push the play/pause button then the battery probably will still be running. if you push the back+down buttons then this will turn the hardware off. i have the same problem and it works

It sounds like the battery is failing. Over time the amount of operating time you can expect between charges will decrease. The battery will still come up to normal voltage and thus will appear to charge normally but it will become depeleted very quickly during use.
You can contact Microsoft to get more information about a battery replacement for your MP3 player. The official Zune website is: http://www.zune.net.
