Just to verify what type of connections did you use the S-video or the composite wires?

In the select video source make sure that the dazzle is selected then try to click the option button. Please tell what do you have in the settings?

How old is your computer?

Make sure your burn speed is set to match the maximum or lower speed for your burner and media being used. Close all other unused programs so there is less interaction with the hard drive during the burning session. Run disk defragmenter (Click: Start/All Programs/Accessories/Disk Defragmenter) and see if your hard drive could use defragmenting.

Looking at the reviews of this product reveal it to be a less than stellar piece of hardware.

Hi and welcome to Fixyah,

When it comes for that kind problem you need to uninstall/reinstall your Pinnacle Instant DVD Recorder and then after that is connect your dazzle device to another USB port and then Click on Start>Control panel>system>hardware>device manager>sound and video games controller> right click on video capture device and uninstall it. Restart your computer.

Try again and then let me know what happen.

Upon installing Dazzle, there was good audio sound but no video.

On the start up of the instant DVD recorder program, you can either use the "let the wizard guide you" or "advance mode"

1. Select source:
you should select the options:

Video standard NTSC (Because this is the default in our region)
Video composite - if you are using RCA (red, yellow and white cables)
S-video - if you are using the cable with several pins in it.

2. Select Burner
You should select the options:
Hard disc folder - if you will be saving the content in your hard drive, the format of this files are DVD such as VOB and IFO etc.
TSST - _ _ _ _ - if you will selecting your DVD drive.

(If you have selected your DVD Burner and you cannot click "next" to proceed to the Third option,
this means that your DVD drive is not able to burn a DVD)

3. Select menus
It must be NO

4. Recording
select total recording time (make sure that Dazzle is selected in the "select source" to set the total recording time, if the Dazzle is not available, try other USB ports or download the drivers in the link below)
